Most of the time, picking up junk is pretty straightforward. Until a few days ago.
We got a call to pick up furniture, clothes, boxes, old Christmas ornaments, and mementos from a life fully lived, and now it was what was left of an estate.
With respect, we gathered the items for removal.
I saw something shiny fall out of an old handbag. It was a diamond ring!
We presented this to her daughter. With tears, she explained that her Mom had lost the ring years ago and never thought she would see it again. What a beautiful gift for that family.
We were able to donate the majority of those items to people in our community to be enjoyed for years to come!
